When you subscribe, we match the name on your payment card to the name on your profile. If they match, your profile gets a verified badge. This is what makes Laurels trustworthy — it confirms you are who you say you are.
Can I change my username after signing up?
Username changes are not currently supported as your username is your profile URL. Contact support@laurels.pro if you need assistance.
What happens if I cancel my subscription?
Your profile will be deactivated and the verified badge removed. Your data is retained for 30 days in case you resubscribe. After 30 days, your account and data are permanently deleted.
Profile & Blocks
Why can't I add more than one Hero block?
Hero, Video Intro, Contact Widget, GitHub Stats, and Content Stream are single-instance blocks — you can only have one of each. This keeps profiles clean and focused.
My profile changes aren't saving.
The editor auto-saves every 2 seconds after you stop making changes. Check the save status indicator in the top header. If it shows "Save failed", check your internet connection and try the manual save button.
How do I add a technology that's not in the preset list?
In the Tech Stack block, scroll below the preset buttons and type your technology in the "Add custom tech" input field, then press Enter.
GitHub Integration
My GitHub stats aren't updating.
Stats are cached for 6 hours to stay within GitHub's API rate limits. Use the refresh button on the GitHub Stats block to force a fresh sync. If the issue persists, try disconnecting and reconnecting your GitHub account.
Can Laurels see my private repositories?
No. We only request public_repo, read:user, and user:email scopes. We never access private repositories or private code.
How do I disconnect GitHub?
In the editor, expand the GitHub Stats block and click Disconnect. This revokes the OAuth token with GitHub and removes all cached data from our servers.
Embed Widget
The widget isn't appearing on my website.
Make sure the script tag is placed before the closing </body> tag, not in the <head>. Also check that the data-user attribute matches your exact Laurels username. Check your browser console for any errors.
Can I embed the widget on multiple websites?
Yes. The embed code works on any website that allows custom HTML and JavaScript. There's no limit on the number of sites you can embed it on.
Does the widget slow down my website?
No. The script loads asynchronously (async attribute) so it never blocks page rendering. The widget only initialises after the page has fully loaded.
Billing & Payments
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards via Stripe. We do not store card details — all payment processing is handled securely by Stripe.
Can I get a refund?
We offer refunds within 7 days of purchase if you haven't used the Service. Contact support@laurels.pro with your account email to request a refund.
How do I update my billing information?
Go to your account settings and click "Manage Billing". This opens the Stripe customer portal where you can update your card, view invoices, and manage your subscription.
Video Intro
What's the maximum video length?
You can record up to 3 minutes (180 seconds) directly in the browser, or upload a video file up to 200MB. For best results, keep your intro under 90 seconds.
What video formats are supported for upload?
We accept MP4, WebM, MOV, and AVI files. Videos are automatically optimised and delivered via Cloudinary's CDN.
Analytics
Why are my analytics showing zero?
Analytics require the analytics_events database table to be set up. If you've just launched, it may take a few minutes for the first events to appear. Make sure your profile is publicly accessible.
How far back does analytics data go?
The dashboard shows the last 30 days of data. We retain analytics data for as long as your account is active.
